The new series of Bloom ‘N Again® azaleas offers the perfect mix of multi-season blooms, evergreen foliage and exceptional cold hardiness.

The gorgeous double white blooms of Snowball Bloom ‘N Again Azalea add color to the garden in spring and fall. This repeat bloomer is perfect for shade or woodland gardens that get some morning sun with afternoon shade of filtered sun.

Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing to 3-4 feet tall and wide, Snowball Bloom ‘N Again Azalea is a perfect choice for groupings, mass plantings, low hedges or an accent in landscape borders and home foundation plantings. It’s true white blooms and abundance of flowers makes it one of the best selections for growing in larger containers and pots, which can be strategically placed to dress up decks, patios, porches, and other outdoor living spaces. Bloom ‘N Again Azaleas do quite well under tall trees and in woodland borders where they’ll get at least 5 to 6 hours of direct sun per day, preferably in the morning. Butterflies love the flowers, and blooming branches serve very well for cutting to create stunning indoor floral arrangements.

Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Zone 7a, where this Bloom ‘N Again Azalea variety is not winter hardy outdoors, you can enjoy growing it in containers that can be moved indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.

Growing Preferences

A little good advice goes a long way, especially when it comes to success with azaleas. We’ve been growing them in our gardens for decades.

Soil. When planted right, and in the right spot, Bloom ‘N Again Azaleas are among the easiest azaleas easy to grow. In the ground, they adapt well to most soil types. That said, some soils such as heavy clay, quick-draining sand, or otherwise poor soils might need to be amended to provide sufficient nutrients, better soil drainage, and/or moisture retention.

In general, like all other azaleas, the Bloom ‘N Agains prefer an organically rich, moist but well-drained acidic soil. In containers, we recommend a 50/50 blend of professional potting mix and potting soil. Know that whether growing in the ground or in containers, constantly soggy or wet soil is problematic for azaleas, and most other plants for that matter.

Sun. Pick a spot in the garden that receives at least 6 hours of full sun (preferably in the morning) to help produce beautiful blooms and lush foliage. All-day lightly filtered sun, such as under tall trees, is okay.
