Description
A standout among Redbud trees and our favorite among the green-leaved varieties, ‘Oklahoma’ has the glossiest leaves and the darkest and most flowers of any other. Heralding the arrival of spring, LOADS of brilliant magenta-purple pea-like flowers literally cover the broad canopy of bare branches. Immediately after flowering the super-glossy heart-shaped, green leaves emerge, glistening in the garden throughout the season until turning bright golden-yellow in fall. A magnificent North American native flowering tree that deserves a spot in every garden where it will grow, in full sun or shade!
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing upright with an irregular rounded form 15 to 20 feet tall and wide, the Oklahoma Redbud is ideal for use as a specimen or in groupings in sunny or shady landscape or woodland borders. Also nice to frame the corners of tall homes and to provide beauty and some shade around patios, porches and other outdoor living spaces. A fine addition to purple theme gardens, native gardens, woodland gardens and cottage gardens.
Suggested Spacing:   30 feet or more for space between trees
Growing Preferences

The Oklahoma Redbud tree is very easy to grow in most any average, moist but well-drained soil and full sun or shade. It is very drought tolerant when established. Standing water or constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic.

The tree was delivered within 3 days of ordering it. Item came just as described. Very well packaged and tree was very healthy! Tree is still going strong and looks as healthy as it did the day I opened the box.————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
This was the second plant I’ve bought from Wilson Brothers. Both arrived in great condition. Was at first skeptical about having a young plant delivered in a box half way across the country, but both arrived looking very well. They have the shipping process down pat! The Oklahoma Redbud Tree arrived about 5’ tall and looks like it has taken root and growing well. I definitely would recommend buying from them again. Provide very good instructions for planting and caring for your new plant.————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
