Among the finest of small flowering trees as a focal point, the Fragrant Fountain Japanese Snowbell is a very compact tree to maybe 8 feet tall and 6 feet wide, making it a perfect fit for smaller urban garden spaces or large planters. From mid to late spring to early early summer, a profusion of wonderfully fragrant bell-shaped flowers appear from top to bottom of the long branches that will cascade to the ground like a fountain. It blooms at a young age. Handsome ovate leaves are a dark to medium green through the season turning to golden yellow and red in fall.

PLEASE NOTE: This variety is a cross between ‘Rosea’ and ‘Carillon’, which gives it it’s more compact and weeping habit. The plants we grow will look low and mounding. As the tree grows it will form a central leader that grows more upward. The central leader can also be trained to grow upright by attaching a bamboo or other type of stake to it.
