Description
At only 3 feet tall and wide, ‘Bandwidth’ Zebra Grass forms a dense, upright, arching clump of color and texture that is a perfect fit for smaller garden spaces and containers. As with other zebra grasses, Bandwidth  sports symmetrically-spaced creamy yellow horizontal bands from top to bottom of each green blade. Soft, curled and fluffy plumes top the clump in summer persisting well into fall. Easy to grow with very little care, just give this one as much sun as possible and watch it grow and shine. Also, ‘Bandwidth’ was bred to be nearly infertile, so you won’t have to worry about the reseeding issues, and it’s practically deer proof!
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 3 feet tall and equally as wide, Bandwidth Zebra Grass forms an upright arching clump that is ideal for use as an accent in smaller landscape spaces and home foundation plantings. Also excellent as a solo or centerpiece in container gardens. In larger landscape spaces it is effective in small to large groupings or as a grassy low hedge. A fine addition to ornamental grass gardens, yellow theme gardens and Asian gardens.
Suggested Spacing:  2.5 feet apart for a solid hedge;  5 feet or more apart for space between plants

Growing Preferences
Miscanthus grasses are easy to grow in a wide range of soils, from sandy to well-drained clay and full to mostly sun (6 hours or more direct sunlight per day). They prefer a moist but well-drained soil of average fertility while establishing themselves, however will tolerate periods of dry soil when established. Constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic, so make sure the planting site is a well-drained one. Maintenance is minimal requiring only an annual pruning before new growth begins to emerge in late winter or very early spring. At this time simply cut plants back to just above the ground.
